Our client is looking for a Director of Marketing in Seattle to lead a small but mighty team and help them continue to grow their business. This is an opportunity to market across 12 different market verticals. They have established marquee customers. You will have the freedom to create a brand and execute those brands. You will develop and drive the marketing brand. They have lots of customs products so that will bring a lot of variety to your marketing. Their verticals are diverse. Therefore, you won’t get bored. However, you will have to be focused. There are several divisions that need a clearly defined strategy. That means you will have a lot of potential as well as challenges. You will own the marketing plan for the business and create the plan for the business for the next 10 years. What will the business look like? You will review the data from the previous years to help with this. You will have the independence to create and execute. You will create their e-commerce strategy. This is really a blank sheet of paper with an established, 120-year-old company that is highly dynamic and forward thinking. Opportunities like these don’t come around often. You report to the CEO.
You will be a problem solver as well as think for yourself. However, you will know when to raise your hand. You are decisive, willing to go the extra mile. How will you get there?

30 days:

Meet the leadership team as well as your team
You are learning not only their business but their culture
You will learn the market space including their competitors and customers
You will start to understand their divisions. There are 3 total however 12 distinct market verticals.

90 days:

You have developed a tangible plan and communicated the marketing plan for the year to the leadership team
You are ready to implement this plan
You are contributing to the leadership team
You are challenging the team. You’re not afraid to zig when other are zagging.

What you will need:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience working with technology, specifically SEO
  • 5+ years of progressive, increased marketing background
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Demonstrated accomplishment creating brands
  • Ability to work across various lines of business
  • An attitude of pride, sense of urgency, respect and fun
  • Ability to work in the United States without sponsorship
