Our client is looking for several positions for their M&A practice in San Francisco & Seattle. You will have the range to work across multiple industries with a variety of their practices. You won’t be pigeon-holed into 1 area. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a definitive personal impact for your clients and your career. You will be a critical part of the team, helping grow the practice, delivering complex work in a variety of industries. Working with your clients, leading operational and technology assessments during the due diligence phase, operational and technology planning as part of carve-out merger integration transactions as well as post-close execution management will be some of your accomplishments. Really, an all-round athlete in the practice as well as a very entrepreneurial opportunity. You also have equity in the company. You don’t have to buy into it, take out a loan or wait until a certain level. It’s yours from the day you join. You will have the ability to make an immediate impact to their clients as well as the firm!

 

You will be a part of their M&A engagements, at times, leading them on new transactions, guiding the team to prepare focused request lists and agendas, facilitating on-site reviews and providing leadership in deliverable creation. You will assess operational and technology investment strategies and compare respective operating models and organizational structures against leading practices and industry benchmarks. You will facilitate due diligence site visits focused on identifying operational and technology strategy, organizational structures and current state business processes and supporting technology. You will collaborate with the National M&A practice to drive the development and enhancement of our client’ methodologies and approaches to client delivery. Their 3-year vision is to provide financial and strategic buyers with actionable insight to make well-informed investment decisions throughout all phases of the transaction as well as maximize deal and portfolio value through a combination of operational improvement, post close integration management, and carve-out planning execution expertise.

Fast forward a year, what will you be doing?

You will have worked with a variety of clients in various industries on IT Strategies and Roadmaps, IT Due Diligence, carve-outs, and have managed complex projects. You will be part of incubating a unique center of excellent on the West Coast; front office specialty, deal sourcing and corporate strategy. You are working w/ PE firms, making an impact for their clients all while working with some of the smartest, capable people for global projects. You will have more access to higher level professionals in these PE firms as well as their Portfolio companies. You will be part of the team that has built an impressive, reputable brand not just with Our client but for yourself.

How will you get there?

30 days:

  • Go through onboarding in San Francisco or Seattle & Chicago
  • You will meet your colleagues & the leaders in the M&A National Practice
  • You will join a few existing projects

90 days:

  • You understand the success factors of the organization
  • You will be supporting sales, responding to RFP’s & managing a few projects
  • You will know your measurable objectives and work toward them
  • You will know the client in the greater Northern California area
  • You are participating in the client development meetings

 What you will need:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3-7 years working with external clients in a team-based Professional Consulting capacity
  • Focus on Business consulting and/or IT Project based work
  • Successfully worked on ERP or CRM integration engagements
  • Superior full end-to-end project management skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written & verbal
  • Ability to travel 50% of the time though this is short term, usually 1-2 days per week, not the typical Monday thru Thursday.
