Our client is looking for Director of Sales for their Display division for their corporate headquarters in the Seattle area. This is the is the biggest, most profitable division in the company; it accounts for ½ of their total revenue. Therefore, a very successful product.

There is a lot of opportunity to continue to grow the business with existing accounts but also add new logos. Our client is already working for some of the biggest, most reputable brands in the world. Your products are seen by billions of people. As the Director of Sales, you will have the ability to really make an impact with not only your Sales leaders but also the business’ bottom line. You will be managing a team of 8. The team is performing well however with your expertise, you will help excel their sales careers. While there is a commission plan in place, you will have the opportunity to change/enhance/ revise it. You will have full autonomy of your team. You have the partnership of a strong Marketing team that will support your efforts.

Fast forward a year, what will you be doing?

Your team is performing at their highest potential, are successful and happy. You have managed your team to intentional sales. They are not afraid to get on the phone and make new calls or visit new clients. You have grown the Display division and continue to be the biggest revenue generator for the company. Your team has grown existing accounts and well as won new business. You have defined the overall sales strategy for your team. You are educating your existing customers on the other products of our clients. You have built successful relationships with your team as well as your customers. You are respected leader in the organization. You are a pleasure to work with. You are making a difference. You and your team are very happy. You are doing the right things; therefore, success has followed.

 How will you get there?

30 days:

  • Meet the leadership team as well as your team

  • You will start to understand their markets, products, team and competition

 90 days:

  • You have assessed the team and have created your sales plan

  • You have met key clients as well as key prospects

  • You are working closely with marketing on developing additional material that will help support your business

  • You are working with other leaders of the company, partnering together to collectively grow the business

6 months:

  • You have met all of their clients

  • You fully understand all the product lines

  • You have reviewed and edited the compensation plans

  • Your Sales leaders have won a new client as well as grown existing clients

  • You are taking care of your team, have set them up for success and are a great mentor
