VP Marketing - Seattle

Our client is looking for a VP of Marketing for their corporate headquarters in the greater Seattle area. You will own the entire integrated marketing plan for North America. This includes both traditional B2B as well as their digital strategy. This is a fantastic opportunity for you to be a leader for an extremely successful, reputable company selling a needed product. It’s a unique opportunity to create the strategy, roll up your sleeves, dig in and lead from the front. You will closely partner with the sales team, supplying them with the proper, cutting-edge material to meet the growth goals of the company.

While plenty of institutional knowledge exists, you will bring it all together through market intelligence, automation, branding, campaigns, and designs… all focused to grow our client’s brand. You will have flexibility, autonomy and support to create the strategic marketing plan and to execute on it. This role is accountable for the region but also a key contributor to the company’s global expansion, which means partnering with all divisions of the company Worldwide. You will set the strategic vision for the next 3 years, not just the traditional marketing strategy but also the digital strategy, and execution on that strategy will require ROI metrics, so feel free to let your analytical side show off a bit.

This role is critical for optimizing existing relationships with clients, buying groups and trade shows, creating the social media strategy, owning the lead generation program, and improving SEO efforts, website, and design. Our client owns the packaging, private label products and content for their clients; your team will own the copy and art work. To top it all off, use your creativity to help create the sales training videos that are provided for our distributors to help them sell the various products.

Fast forward a year, what will you be doing?

You have refreshed and rebranded our client’ product line. This includes the compliance of the products. You have completed the monthly marketing calendars for traditional and digital, for set campaigns with measurable goals to judge the ROI of those campaigns. The company is driving 1,000+ of new leads through marketing automation and the new website. You feel really good about the team you have in place. They are accelerating because you have developed their talent and aligned their skills to the appropriate job. You have completed the competitive market analysis on both companies and products. You are working toward helping the company achieve 2-3 times their business growth. You are seen as the industry subject matter expert. Your team and your business partners seek you out for your knowledge. You have a seat at the leadership team. You are respected, happy, and proud of your work.

 What you will need:

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Fifteen years’ demonstrated success creating and building marketing strategies

  • Developed marketing programs that have grown the top line business as well transformed the business

  • Created and executed successful digital marketing strategies

  • Passion for building fully integrated marketing solutions

  • Successfully demonstrated partnering with the business to grow revenues and brand

  • Innovation; you bring new ideas to the table that will amphify their brand and marketing activities

  • Demonstrated success building out a brand

  • Integrated marketing experience; demand, brand, how they all fit together that generates leads

  • Proven leadership skills, managing and mentoring a team

Our client is a privately held business that is scaling fast globally. They manufacture and distribute industrial and medical products globally.

The company was founded by an international business graduate who spent time right after school living in Asia, he started a company to address what he saw as a developing worldwide demand for barrier protection and infection control products at a time when there were limited channels to sell. Today, our client sells to both industrial and medical channels across North America, Asia and Europe. They have had 17% growth year-over-year for the past 15 years.
