Our client is looking for a Sr. Marketing Specialist in Seattle to support the design and execution of their local marketing programs for their West Coast operations; Seattle, Los Angeles and San Francisco. You will be working closely with the greater marketing team, the business development team as well as local leaders to execute local marketing programs. You will own and support the day-to-day activities associated with local brand awareness, relationship building with clients, local media, organizations, events, and lead generation.

 You will lead the execution of taking the strategy and translating it to tactics. You will be supporting every level within the firm. You will have the support of the team however the autonomy to execute effectively. You understand market trends, what your competitors are doing and measuring the ROI of generating leads and the drip campaign. You will champion obtaining the marketing buy-in from the local teams. You will organize and participate in the appropriate marketing events. There is a ton of relationship building in executing the plans, therefore a lot of blocking and tackling. You will tie digital to enhance an event. You will drive leads from whitepapers to the local market. This is a highly integrated marketing function.

 Fast forward a year, what will you be doing?

You are a trusted advisor to your local leaders. You and the marketing team have built out and executed a unique go-to market strategy for each of the offices on the West Coast. You have built relationships with the business line leaders as well as external partners. You know what your competitors are doing. You have a solid understanding of the business as well as how your leaders operate. You collaborate with your teams. You are the execution arm for the West Coast Marketing program. You are happy. You can say you were part of the team that has built a recognizable brand for Our client on the West Coast.

 How will you get there?

30 days:

  • Meet with your regional business line leaders as well as the Sr. Marketing Manager for the West Coast

  • Spend time in Chicago to learn marketing best practices as well as get to know your team

  • Visit other local markets, get to know the leaders as well as spend time in the market

 60 days:

  • You and the Sr. Marketing Manager are aligned

  • You are starting to execute the strategies in the local market

    90 days:

  • You’ve built strong relationships with your local business leaders in all offices

  • You are driving programs such as Account Based Marketing to build client relationships

  • You are supporting local lead generation campaigns

  • You are sourcing new local relationships with organizations and media outlets to help execute and amplify our client’s local brand

    What you will need:

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • 5-7 years of credible experience and high performance in a marketing and communication related field

  • Proven event management skills and experience in planning and executing local marketing or regional conferences

  • Passion for being in the market and developing relationships

  • Demonstrated experience working with local media to build reputation in the local markets

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Ten (10) years’ demonstrated success in a marketing and communications related field

  • Passion about building new local marketing programs.

  • Innovation; you bring new ideas to the table that will amphily their brand and marketing activities in each of their markets on the West Coast

  • Industry experience in services vs. just a product

  • Ability to travel 20% of the time

  • Ability to work in the United States without sponsorship
